a hybrid journey of gatherings, workshops, and a physical global conference for 2022, where members, partners, and the broader community can engage in social and civic innovation to fuel social change.
What Is I4C Impact Journey?
The I4C impact Journey is a journey of innovation and collaboration. This is your chance to join a growing movement of civil society actors, activists, social entrepreneurs, journalists, and innovative creators who work together to protect civic space and overcome restrictions to our basic freedoms of assembly, association, and speech. You can engage with us by:
- Joining our virtual events
- Connecting to the Hub in your region
- Subscribing to I4C Chronicles
- Tweet and spread the word about us
- Interacting with the participants
- Creating new connections
All of this will be an exciting journey as you will collect important online points for the I4C Online Impact Awards in September 2022.

From middle September, I4C together with LAC Hub will host the pinnacle of the impact journey, the I4C Impact Festival, in Ecuador.
The physical event (Inter-Regional Retreat IRR) will be the pinnacle of a 8 months journey, promoting global learning, co-creation, and experimentation. Online events leading to the physical event will offer engagement opportunities for participants who will not be able to join the in-person event, and will offer a unique learning and sharing opportunity for remote members and communities in Global South.
Important Note: In light of the current global outbreak of the COVID-19 coronavirus disease, Innovation 4 Change reserves the right to revise the program and in-person event. We continue to carefully monitor the situation and organize an in-person event only if the highest safety for our participants can be guaranteed.
What do we explore in I4C Impact Journey?
Impact territories that we will explore:
- A civil society led innovation ecosystem for cross-sectoral collaboration
- Regional knowledge generation, cohesion and solidarity
- Sustainable activism and expanding digital and physical spaces for civil society resilience
- Accelerated and sustainable change by experimentation and capacity strengthening
- Influence civil society narrative and hold power-holders accountable for keeping civic space open.
