Tableau Public

Tableau Public is a free version of the Tableau data visualization tool. Users can create visualizations of data hosted on Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, OData, Web Data Connectors and more. In this free version of the tool, users must save their visualizations to a Tableau Public profile and cannot save to their computer network.

In addition to sharing Tableau Public visualizations through Social Media, users can raise awareness about their work by embedding their content on any website that supports HTML embedding. Compatible Blogging tools include Blogger, Typepad, and WordPress. Tableau “vizzes” can also be shared via email.

Tableau public has a Visualization Gallery to showcase the abilities of the platform. Users belonging to a registered nonprofit can apply for the full Tableau Desktop suite through TechSoup
