Narrative summary
The MENA Hub and SimSim finalized the development of a stable version of the MENA Hub Accountability Dashboard MENATOR, a platform dedicated to providing evidence-based evaluation campaigns of public policies in the MENA region. As demand for government accountability expands, so does the need for locally-driven solutions, the MENA Hub and SimSim worked during this phase on adapting the platform to local CSOs and grassroots contexts in order to enable the tracking of local public policies through the integration of new technology features. The previous phase also highlighted the high demand for offline capacity-building trainings that accompany the platform’s work on public policy evaluation, and in support of this, the MENA Hub and SimSim will organize tailored capacity-building trainings on public policy evaluation as per the needs that will be formulated during the platform’s deployment and adoption by the CSOs. SimSim will organize a two-day in-person training workshop in Rabat on public policy evaluation for 5 local CSOs who will be selected to track local government plans under the MENATOR platform. The training will be conducted by a local public policy evaluation expert.
